Assignment #3 Toolbox Resources

My toolbox is a tab at the top of my blog.

You can also get to it here.

My toolbox is divided into two sections - Teacher Resources and Student Resources.
I found the websites by searching and browsing through Google.  I added the sites that I thought would be useful for me, other teachers, and my future students.

I can use my toolbox to easily find resources that I will need for my future classes.  I can share my toolbox by giving other teachers the link to it.

Three websites that will be helpful in the future are:

Education World - this website has templates, lesson plans, electronic portfolios, clip art galleries, article archives, etc.  There are so many links on this website that will be helpful.

Scholastic - I really like this website because it gives book recommendations! There are tabs for teachers, parents, kids, administrators, and librarians.  Teachers can review books, buy them online, get magazines, and a lot more.

4 Teachers - This is a website that promotes teaching with technology! There are videos, success stories, and tabs for teachers to look at.  I watched the Youtube video they made to promote using technology in the classroom and I really liked the idea the 6th grade teacher had for her students (to make a virtual museum that everyone could be involved in.

  2. Sara,

Education World- this definitely looks like a helpful site for teachers, it provides for a lot of lesson plan ideas, and even will help with worksheets you may want to use at the last minute!

Scholastic- I find this website to be very helpful as well, I like that it has resources for teachers to use as well as a place where you can order books. I remember in grade school, we used to get flyers from Scholastic that had a lot of their books on it, and all of us kids always wanted to order some! I am sure some kids now enjoy ordering books off the website.

4 teachers- this website also seems helpful, I saw a link on the site that helps out with Spanish as well, it helps you assemble take-home notes in English and Spanish, that could be very helpful for the teachers and parents!
